D136-001-007因某種原因電源電壓突然消失，電動機都會停轉(zhuǎn)。一旦電壓恢復正常，如果電動機自行起動，往往會造成設(shè)備損壞或人身事故，也會因許多設(shè)備同時起動而造成對供電網(wǎng)絡(luò)的過大沖擊。因此，在電網(wǎng)電壓消失時，要立即切斷電源，實現(xiàn)零電壓保護。
電源電壓過分降低，會引起電動機轉(zhuǎn)速下降甚至停轉(zhuǎn)；在負載轉(zhuǎn)距不變的情況下，D136-001-007電動機電流增大，造成繞組過熱而損壞；電壓過低還會引起一些電器釋放，造成控制失常。因此，當電源電壓降低允許值以下時，需要切斷電源，實現(xiàn)欠電壓保護。起保停電路本身具有失壓保護和欠壓保護的功能。當電源失壓或嚴重欠壓時，接觸器的銜鐵自行釋放，電動機停止運轉(zhuǎn)。D136-001-007當電壓恢復正常時，接觸器線圈也不會自行通電，只有在操作人員再次按下起動按鈕時，電動機才會起動。有的電路要求有更好的零壓和欠壓保護，還采用專門的欠壓繼電器或欠電壓保護電路。
