This manual is intended for qualified personnel. You need a basic understanding of electric power and energy theory and terminology, and alternating-current (AC) metering principles.
The PowerMonitor? 500 unit is an AC power monitor with a built-in advanced configuration system and LCD data display. The unit is designed for measurement of electrical beters in various three-phase, single-phase (2-wire European), and split-phase (3-wire North American single phase) circuits. The unit modular housing can be mounted in a panel that provides IP65 degree protection from the front. The power monitor can be provided with analog or digital (relay) outputs. These outputs can be selected to output a pulse proportional to the real and reactive energy that is measured, or to annunciate alarms. The instrument can also be equipped with a serial RS-485/ RS-232 port or an EtherNet/IP port. Equipped with an optional communication port, the unit communicates power and energy beters to applications, such as FactoryTalk® EnergyMetrix? software. The power monitor works with these software
applications to address these key customer applications:
