The MVI56E-MCM acts as an b/output module on the ControlLogix backplane, enabling Modbus data to be displayed as I/O data in the processor. Backplane data transmission with the processor and communication on the Modbus network are asynchronous. Two independently configurable serial ports can operate on the same or different Modbus networks. Each port can be configured as a Modbus master or slave station, sharing the same user controlled 5000 word database. The MVI56E-MCM utilizes reduced b/output (I/O) data blocks to transfer data to and from the ControlLogix processor. This reduced data block makes it possible to ?
